Holiday time!
We made a brief stop at Newcastle to have a look at the Angel Of The North, which me missed out on last time. It's bloomin' big! We also found the slip road back onto the A1 closed so we had to make a ten mile diversion to get back on track.
The border crossing looks better without the workmen's clutter all over the place, the scots flags are pretty tatty though. Shame. Still, it's a compulsory halt on the way north, and into the wild lands of Alba.
Sam was determined to walk into Scotland....so he did!
Onwards and upwards to Kinross, and that involved crossing the Forth Road Bridge.
Gratuitous "selfie" by Samuel.
Tonight's fish supper was brought to you by Central Fiah And Chips in Kinross. £4.30 for one medium size piece of fish (just the one!) and an only-just-sufficient portion of dry-ish chips. Tasted great as we were starving, but we hope there's better out there. Two stars.
